The book of Revelation revolves around the Cosmic Conflict between Christ and Satan. All of the vivid illustrations are for the purpose of explaining the issues in this conflict as well as to define the role that we have to play. At the heart of the controversy is the character of God. The dragon is described as slandering God’s name and cleverly imitating and distorting the image of the true Lamb. The central image of God in the book of Revelation as well as the answers to Satan’s charges are found in the throne room scene of Revelation 4 and 5.
