Podoconiosis, also known as "mossy foot" is a preventable diseases that affects over 4 million people in underpriviliged countries. From the Tropical Health Alliance Foundation Website: "Podo is truly a disease of the voiceless – it only affects people in rural communities who are too poor to afford shoes. It is also neglected because it is a tropical disease that visitors to the tropics will never develop."
This is such a preventable condition! "If everyone living on irritant soil had access to shoes, podoconiosis could be a thing of the past in only 20 years."
We'd like to thank Dr. Larry Thomas for making us aware of this. He discusses this condition here:
The solution is to increase awareness of this condition, donate for this great cause, and buy Tom's shoes! For every pair of Tom's shoes you purchase, they will donate one pair to a child in need.

This website has a number of excellent articles that address the "New Perspective on Paul." Recent breakthroughs in New Testament scholarship have revealed important new insights into the writings of Paul that suggests Paul's focus is not so much on "me and my salvation" but rather to God and His faithfullness.
Dr. Tim Jennings has a great Bible study and a number of other audio recordings which are updated frequently. In addition, Tim's book, "Could It Be This Simple?" is fantastic!
Pastor Manuel Silva, seen here "balding for dollars", speaks passionately about the character of God as revealed by Jesus. Follow his weekly sermons here.
I've really enjoyed following Nick's blog recently. God's character, Christ as the full revelation of who God is, love your enemies, non-violence...Nick really has some good things to say.
This is an African orphanage in the Kissi highlands of Kenya. Currently 50 orphans are being cared for at Maranatha Family Centre (MFC), a society which is registered with the Kenyan government and authorized to care for orphans. They could use your support!
We have had a very good experience with these people and have found them to be trustworthy and responsible.
